Champions League draw takes place

In a draw neither club would have wanted, Champions League holders Liverpool and Chelsea have ended up in the same group in the competition.

They are both in Group G and will also face Anderlecht and Real Betis in the first phase of the contest.

Man Utd's biggest threat will come from Villarreal, who saw off Everton, while Rangers have a tough group also featuring Inter Milan and Porto.

Arsenal fared better, with the hardest competition in their group being Ajax.

The group stage begins on 13/14 September.
