Goldfish washed up at footie club

The fish was washed up at Carlisle United FC
A pair of goldfish are being looked after by a football club after being washed up at the ground during the recent Cumbria floods.

Judy, one fish was found Carlisle United's goal, while the other was spotted in a puddle near the pitch.

Emma Story, whose father owns the club, spotted the pair while helping to clear up the waterlogged pitch.

Judy's owner, four-year-old Ashleigh Turk, agreed to donate the goldfish after she identified her.

Emma Story said: "We managed to win the match against Redditch on Sunday, and the fans began to say the fish represented the fighting spirit of the club."

The fishy duo are currently living in bowls at the team's Brunton Park ground reception.
