Thalia from Newsround Showbiz took part in a live webchat after the programme on Wednesday 12 January to discuss the latest news that Busted are "taking a break".

Monkeysteph: What are Busted like? Are they kind, funny, loopy? Please tell cos I wanna know!
Thalia: Hey - they're cool. I met them first when they were doing publicity for What I Go to School For - they were very sweet!
fluffy2036: Thalia do you think busted will split?
Thalia: To be honest, it's hard to say. I guess it depends on how things go for Charlie and Fightstar. Remember, Busted's record company is saying it's just a break - so keep your fingers crossed!
fluffy2036: Whenever you've met Busted is Charlie ever happy? Do you think they'll split Thalia
Thalia: I really don't know - the record company say the boys are just taking a break from the band. They're not the first band to do that and get back together. Atomic Kitten took a break - everyone thought they'd split but they've got a single coming out soon. And Destiny's Child did the same thing. So don't give up hope.
Mattsminx: Will Busted do a tour this year even if it's a farewell 1?
Thalia: There are no plans that we've been told of for a farewell tour but if we hear about one, the Newsround website will have the news. And keep checking the official Busted website too.
bff234567: I am gonna b so upset if busted do split up. r u sure we aren't gonna c em 4 a couple of months?
Thalia: Well, the official line from the record company is that the boys WILL be back together in the future - so don't give up hope!
Marry: I knew Charlie wasn't happy in busted. Are his new band fightstar any good?
Thalia: Fightstar haven't released any material yet so I haven't heard their stuff. They have a single out at the end of next month - so then you can hear them for yourself.
Katieovocco: Thalia, do you know if they are going solo???
Thalia: I'm really not sure. The news is very fresh so there may be a statement from Matt or James soon. But you're right, one option would be to replace Charlie and for Busted to carry on without him.
Bob: Thalia Thalia tell me its not true. If the boys split up then I'm listening to Blue - What about you?
Thalia: Officially it's just a break from the band for Charlie so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Don't give up hope! Remember, both Atomic Kitten and Destiny's Child took breaks and everyone thought they were splitting - but both bands have come back together. Atomic Kitten are due to release a new single soon. So, breaks aren't always splits!
matts_girl: please help thalia im so upset how can people think about the brits and other stuff when the best band ever is having doubts please help us fans we need all the support we can get!
Thalia: Hey - remember it's not an official split so they may well get back together. So my advice is don't give up hope.
