McFly to sing '05 Red Nose record

McFly will sing the official song for Comic Relief 2005
The boys from McFly have been spotted with red noses recently, but it's not because they've been spending too much time out in the cold weather.

It's because Harry, Tom, Dougie and Danny have been chosen to sing the official song for Comic Relief 2005.

Tom, 19, wrote All About You and the boys recorded it last week with an orchestra of 60 other musicians.

It will be released on 7 March as double a-side with a cover version, which is being kept a secret for now.

The head of Comic Relief, Kevin Cahill, said: "McFly are at the top of their game and we are delighted that they are supporting the campaign.

"We are sure to have a hit on our hands and hope to raise as much money as possible to help people in real trouble at home in the UK and in Africa."

Red noses and big hair

Red Nose Day 2005, on Friday 11 March, will be the tenth ever Red Nose Day. The theme will be "Big hair and beyond."

Since Comic Relief began, 20 years ago, the charity has raised over 337 million for people in the UK , Africa and the world's poorest countries.
