Live 8's Midge honoured by Queen

Midge Ure
Live 8's Midge Ure and TV star David Jason are among 894 people who have been rewarded in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Midge - who is helping Bob Geldof to plan this year's Live 8 concerts and co-wrote and produced Do They Know It's Christmas? - becomes an OBE.

David, who is probably most famous for playing Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, has been knighted.

The list also includes lots of people who aren't celebs.

Teachers, lollipop ladies and railway workers are among those who have been honoured for good deeds.

From the world of sport, former England striker Les Ferdinand gets an MBE and cricketer Basil D'Oliveira a CBE.
