Malawi has problems with Aids and poverty
|
Millions of African children have lost one or both parents to Aids.
It often falls to older children or grandparents to care for the family left behind.
Aids is a serious condition which attacks the immune system - which is what stops your body from getting ill.
People with Aids can die after developing different kinds of disease which the body would normally fight off
by itself.
It is suggested that unless more is done, 89 million more Africans could be affected in the next 20 years - up to 10 per cent of the population.
