In many African countries there has been dictatorship, where one person has ruled the country, backed by the army.

Corrupt leaders have lived in luxury while the rest of population live in poverty.

Their wealth has often been boosted by using aid intended for their people.

Many of these leaders have been replaced with leaders voted in by the people.
