Snoop Dogg enters download chart

Snoop Dogg
US rapper Snoop Dogg has notched up the highest entry in this week's download chart, with his Drop It Like It's Hot going in at number nine.

Jamie Cullum's Everlasting Love was the second highest new entry, at 10.

But U2 remain unshakeable at the top of the chart, with Vertigo holding on to number one for yet another week.

It was a good week for female artists, with Gwen Stefani, Kylie, Destiny's Child and Girls Aloud making up the top five in the chart.

Natasha Bedingfield featured twice in the top 20, with Unwritten at number seven and These Words re-entering the chart at 13.

Band Aid dropped three places to number eight.

The chart is based on the most popular legally downloaded songs on the web. It has just been expanded to include even more music sites.

You can listen to it every Wednesday on Radio 1 at 6pm.
