Simpsons top poll of fave shows

The Simpsons
The Simpsons has been named Britain's favourite American show of all time.

The popular cartoon topped a poll of 25 shows to come from America. Other shows in the survey include Friends, The Muppet Show and Star Trek - The Next Generation.

The list was drawn up by Broadcast magazine who called the show the "undisputed champion" of US imports.

In 2005, The Simpsons will become the longest-running American TV series to be shown in Britain.

Baywatch was voted the worst show ever to hit British screens.

Other shows in the top 10 of worst US imports were The Jerry Springer Show and The Dukes of Hazzard.
