The government will tell schools to double the amount of PE lessons according to a report out today.
But what are YOUR views on this?
Are you well pleased that you'll get to do more sport in school?
Or are you thinking that you're going to have to come up with more excuses?!
But do you also see it is a good thing if it helps tackle the problem of child obesity?

I think we have enough PE lessons, but if we could have a wider variety of activities and you could pick whatever you wanted to do that would be good. I hate trampolining but I'm made to do it anyway, I'd rather do something like basketball!
Vicky, 14, Ilkeston
I think it is a good idea to double up on PE lessons as people have to keep fit. I love PE and I took it for GSCE and I do 4 lesson of it a week including a double and I love it.
Sophie, 14, Birmingham
I'm pleased because sport is my best subject. I love football.
Rachel, 9, Sutton
I used to hate PE in yr 7, 8 and 9 but now I love it!!
Marie, 14, Leyland
I really like PE, it beats maths any day. BUT I don't think they should make you go out if it's freezing, you should be allowed to do indoor sports instead!
Bethanie, 14, Bournemouth
I HATE PE! I have problems with my feet so it's worse 'coz I find it hard to balance! More PE? I have an hour and 45 minutes every Thursday so NO WAY!
Josie, 11, Southend
I think this is a good idea because we would get more exercise. It would be good if we got choice what to do like swimming.
Anna, 15, Chorley
I think PE is the only lesson where most public humiliation comes about. It can be very taunting for some and a lot of bullying goes on in this particular subject. It is a dreadful idea to double the lessons, if kids want to keep fit they can do it in their own time, it's a choice not something kids should be pushed to do.
Amanda, 14, Manchester
I don't want more PE, you won't need it to get a job unless you want to be a fitness instructor, it may be to help our fitness but some pupils get pushed too far and end up in a worse state....
Nikki, 13, Dumfries
I absolutely love PE it is one of my favourite lessons.
Matt, 11, Little Kimble
Great, don't just tell us to stay fit, give us the opportunity to do it!
Samuel, 14, Warwick
I don't get why people take PE as being the most important subject. It will help very few people in later life and it is something some people just can not improve on. It's very embarrassing for some people.
David, 12, Cardiff
It seems an ok idea. If this is the big fight to cut down obesity ratings then it is good. As long as it is either swimming or gymnastics I'm fine!
Cheryl, 14, Newtyle
I do 3 lessons of PE a week and I HATE it! They cut our music lessons for it!
Bob, 13, Lowestoft
I think it's a great idea, but I would hate to do swimming. It's really embarrassing for everyone, and if you really want to learn to swim then get lessons outside of school!
Becki, 12, Aylesbury
I think that it will be good if we do more PE because it is a lot more fun than some of the subjects that we do at school and it's healthy.
Kate, 13, Derby
If we double the amount of PE in our school we would have six PE lessons a week.
Chelsea, 11, Coventry
I think girls should do every sport that boys are good at like football and rugby. I was in a girl's football team in my school and I told the boys and they laughed and said girls can't play football, but we can, girls should be included in all boyish games in PE.
Hannah, 11, Birmingham
I don't think we need any more PE. They should just scrap it altogether. Most of us hate sport anyway. Good thing I'm dropping it at the end of year 9.
Samuel, 9, Broadstairs
No! I definitely don't want anymore PE lessons. Twice a week is enough.
Marine, 13, London
More PE - the best idea the government has had in years. But I think that girls should learn to play sports like rugby and football as well as all the norms.
Jess, 14, Bristol
I HATE PE. 2 hours a week is enough. I am sure that that there are thousands of girls out there like me.
Lisa, 14, Aberdeen
I hate PE! We have 1 hour 40 minutes a week of it and I'm always exhausted by it. I hate having to do so much, the government shouldn't decide how much PE we do - some kids can't do PE and they feel stupid when they can't do the stuff their classmates do, so no, there should not be double the time of PE!
Margaret, 14, Birmingham
I think it's great! It won't solve child obesity but I think it will help and get children more fit and healthy! Although I think people should be allowed to pick what sport they want to do and not let children off doing PE so easily. The more PE the better for me.
Maisy, 14, Southampton
I think it's a great idea because my school only has one PE lesson a week.
Liam, 11, Grimsby
I love PE, and I'm in the school team for most sports. At my school we get to play a wide range of sports, and I think that by doubling the lesson time, we could really learn to improve our skills.
Abi, 13, Safron Waldon
I TOTALLY hate PE. It is a pain in the neck. My parents will be even more angrier, if they spot me with loads of mud on me, as the showers in my school don't work.
Alex, 12, Bishop's Stortford
I hate PE especially gym! We do the same things as we did in yr 7 and we can't wear trousers and have to wear leotards! It makes us all embarrassed and no one likes PE.
Ann, 13, Birmingham
I would love PE but I hate it as we can't choose the sports we do.
Richard, 14, Hereford
Our school is a "sports college" and we have plenty of after school clubs. These are a good idea as you can do sports that you enjoy and you normally get longer to do them. However in lessons you learn more on how to do stuff and this helps people's skills.
Josh, 14, Suffolk
I hope not! More PE might make children healthier, but I think it'll increase bullying too.
James, 14, Manchester
PE lessons don't really help to keep us fit. We have a 50 minute lesson, 10 minutes of that is spent getting to the changing rooms to get changed. 5 of that is spent on everyone walking up to the pitches, another 5 is spent organising teams and handing out equipment, and another 10 is spent walking back into the changing rooms again to get changed back again! So yes, I think more PE would be a better idea. Maybe double lessons would be better?
Hannah, 14, Birmingham
At my school we do basketball, football, netball, swimming. Girls can do anything - it is great, you would love it!
Abbie, 14, St Albans
I think we should have more PE 'coz it's a healthy and fun way to exercise.
Simone, 15, Rawtenstall
I think everyone should do PE - it keeps us fit!
Hannah, 15, Chester le Street
I wish we could pick our subjects, then it would be really cool. At the moment, I only like one or two of our PE subjects.
Louise, 14, Banstead
No please don't - no more PE. Ttwice a week is enough already. Oh no I am off to cry!
Rayka, 13, London
I think PE is too sexist. Girls have to do netball, hockey and badminton while the boys get to do the good stuff like football, rugby and basketball. It's not fair. It would be nice to have more of a choice of sport if we get more PE lessons.
Beth, 12, London
I think PE's ok but girls should be allowed to do rugby, football and basketball!
Alice, 12, Cams
We actually do more PE lessons at school, but not everyone is happy about it and loads of people bunk.
Karen, 13, Sutton
I'm not sure if this is such a good idea myself. I think it would be a better use of their time to introduce swimming into the curriculum, because it exercises your whole body, not just some parts of it, and, unlike football or netball, it could save a life. I know that most of my class can't swim, and I'm in year 9. Something needs to be done.
Alice, 13, London
I think it's a great idea, we only have 1 PE class a week yet the boys' school down the road gets 3 a week! It's not fair.
Eleanor, 12, Dublin
I would love the idea if my school actually did ANYTHING new. It's always the same things, football and things like that.
Becky, 10, Oswestry
I think it will be great as long as we get to do cool stuff like skateboarding or something - not just more dull PE.
Ross, 12, Bridlington
