The Sun

The Sun
The Sun is at the centre of the Solar System, and its gravity holds all the planets in place.
  • You could fit over a million Earths in the Sun
  • Temperature - 5,500 degrees Celsius on the surface, 15.6 million degrees Celsius at the core
  • It's mostly made from hydrogen

Don't ever look directly at the sun - you could seriously damage your eyes.
