Ice-cream cone's 100-years-old

Ice cream cones

The ice-cream cone celebrated its 100th birthday in 2004 and its shape hasn't changed much over the past century.

That's because the cone is a very environmentally-friendly form of packaging - there's no waste because you eat the container.

Also, ice-cream sellers can stack the cones 100 high so they don't take up much space.

Even the chocolate bit at the bottom is more than a nice treat. It stops the wafer becoming soggy and dropping off.
