Best Boy - They are the main helper for the chief electrician (gaffer) or camera operator.
Bit Part - A very small speaking role, usually three lines or less.
Boom Mic - A microphone on the end of a pole, held above actor's heads to record what they say.
Dolly - A set of wheels and a platform which the camera can be moved about on. This is often put on rails.
Gaffer - The chief electrician.
Grip - A crew member that handles lighting, electrical and other equipment.
In The Can - When the day's filming is over it is "in the can" and ready to go for editing.

Props - Any object used by an actor during their performance.
Screen Test - A recorded audition to see how an actor looks on film or TV.
Storyboard - A frame-by-frame drawing of key scenes as a rough plan for how the film should look.
Take - The shooting of a scene.
Two-Shot - A camera shot with two people in it.
Understudy - An actor who can perform a role if the regular actor is ill.
