Open prison

An open prison
Category A, B and C prisoners are held in what are called 'Closed' prisons.

These have security measures that stop the inmates escaping. Category D prisoners are held in 'Open' prisons where they can wander around freely but must show up for daily roll calls.

Inmates normally have their own rooms with their own key. They can have a small TV as well as a bed, locker, table and chair.
