Life peerage

House of Lords
People who are made life peers become barons and get a seat in parliament.

Men get to be called Lord and women Baroness. They can also choose where they want to be the Lord of.

BUT they have to pick somewhere that doesn't already have a Lord.

Lots of well known places are already taken but most life peers can still choose their home town.
