MTV Movie Awards

The MTV awards are voted for by the public so they tend to be more light-hearted and favour huge box office hits.

As well as recognising the usual best film and best actors etc, there's fun awards too like best kiss, best fight and best villain.

The kind of films that normally win best movie are big blockbusters like Wedding Crashers, Star Wars, Batman and The Lord of the Rings.

In 2007, the awards were held in Los Angeles and broadcast live for the very first time.
