Empire is one of the top film magazines. It's so popular that it's had its own movie awards since 1996.

And they're voted for entirely by the public, so the slightly more popular films (rather than dead arty ones) tend to win.

Even though they're not as big as the Oscars and the Baftas, loads of top celebs turn up to pick up their prizes.
