Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker
Luke Skywalker grew up on the planet of Tatooine dreaming of leaving and finding adventure.

But those adventures found him when R2-D2 and C-3PO arrived on the farm where he lived with his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

They led him to Ben Kenobi, formerly Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a mission into space with Han Solo and Chewbacca.

Luke rescued Princess Leia from the Death Star then led an attack on the space station that saw it destroyed.

Luke then stayed to to fight with the rebels against the Republic, but after the battle of Hoth went to learn how to be a Jedi from Yoda in the Dagobah system.

He broke off that training earlier than he should to try and save his friends from Darth Vader on Cloud City, but it was a trap.

He was tricked into a huge fight with the Sith Lord, who at a crucial moment in the battle had his arm cut off, but worse was to come.

Vader told Luke that his father was not dead as he thought, but was in fact Darth Vader himself!

Luke was rescued from Cloud City and then later mounted a rescue mission to save Han from Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine.

He went back to Dagobah to complete his Jedi training from Yoda, arriving just before the Jedi Master died of old age, but not before he had told Luke he had a sister - Leia.

Having done that he helped the rebels bring down the forcefield on the second Death Star so it could be destroyed, before a final battle with Vader.

Luke was sure there was good left in his father, and was proved right when Vader turned from the dark side to help him kill the Emperor.
