Digital TV signals can come through a satellite dish, underground cables, phone lines or your existing roof aerial.
You can choose to have a digital service installed at home, using satellite, broadband or cable, or you can install a digital box yourself.
A digital box plugs into your existing TV and aerial so you can receive all the free digital TV and radio channels.
And they work with almost any telly, so you don't necessarily need a new TV to go digital.
Digital TVs are also available though, which means you don't need a separate box.
