A festival to remember when Abraham was going to sacrifice his son to prove his obedience to God.

Muslims believe that Abraham was a prophet, or messenger from God.

Traditions

  • Families go to the mosque for prayers
  • They sacrifice a sheep and give one third of the meat away to remember Abraham's sacrifice
