When will the space station be ready?

The first part of the station was launched in 1998.

The people in charge of the ISS expect it to be finished in 2010.

It has to be finished by then, as the US space agency Nasa is stopping all its shuttle missions in 2010. Those shuttles carry the parts needed into space to finish it off.

Once completed it is expected that up to seven people of all nationalities will live on the station at any one time.
