Third generation phones are the latest generation of mobile communication.

3G phones allow you to send video messages to other 3G phones. They take photos and record sound as well as having all the basic functions of your average mobile.

However, the phones are more expensive and mobile coverage in the UK is still not as good as 2G phones according to the consumer company Which?
