Usher's Burn holds onto top spot
Updated 11 July 2004, 18.58
Usher
Usher has held off challenges from some of the hottest names in the history of music to spend a second week at number one with his single Burn.

Pop princess Britney Spears only managed to get to number two with her new track Everytime.

Elvis Presley - the man credited with bringing rock and roll to the masses - went in at number three.

The re-release of his song That's All Right marked the 50th anniversary of the first recording of the track.

Celebrate

Friday's Child by Will Young debuted at number four and the top five was completed by Girls Aloud's The Show, which slipped three places.

McFly have lots to celebrate after their debut album, Room On The 3rd Floor, rocketed straight to the top of the album chart, ending the Scissor Sisters' reign.
