Q Award win for superstar Jamelia
Updated 05 October 2004, 08.02
Jamelia
Triple Mobo winner Jamelia picked up her fourth award in under a week when she took home best single for See It In A Boy's Eyes at the Q Awards.

Keane's Hopes and Fears was named best album, Franz Ferdinand's Take Me Out won the best video prize and Razorlight were named best new act.

Muse won best live act and American rockers The Red Hot Chili Peppers won best act in the world.

Winners were voted for by readers, and the ceremony held at a London hotel.

Sir Elton John caused controversy at the awards when he accused best live act nominee Madonna of cheating fans by miming on stage.

"Anyone who lip-synchs in public on stage when you pay 75 to see them should be shot," Sir Elton said.

But Liz Rosenberg, Madonna's US press agent, denied that the star used lip-synching when performing live.

"Nor does she spend her time trashing other artists," she said.

"She sang every note on her Re-invention tour live."
