Six hopefuls will try to impress a panel of expert judges with their songs, before members of the public decide who will sing for the UK.
The UK act in the 2003 competition, Jemini, finished dead last and their song Cry Baby was awarded "nil points".
Ex-Fame Academy student James Fox is one of the acts hoping to represent the UK at Eurovision in Turkey on 15 May.
The hand-picked contestants include two female vocalists, a boy band and an female R&B trio.
The songs have been written by top British composers who have worked with people like Westlife, Enrique Iglesias and Christina Aguilera.
