Black Eyed Peas hold Darkness off top spot
Updated 28 September 2003, 19.04
Black Eyed Peas
Rap act Black Eyed Peas fought off strong competition from rockers The Darkness to stay number one for the fourth week.

Where is the Love is the hip-hop band's reaction to the 11 September terrorist attacks and features Justin Timberlake.

The Darkness's re-released I Believe In A Thing Called Love is at number two; better than first time around when not many people noticed it!

Riding high

The Darkness
The band's energetic rock songs and insane clothes has seen them top the album charts, be nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and open the Glastonbury Festival.

But their LP Permission to Land, was replaced at top of that chart by angst rockers Muse.

Rachel Stevens is number three in the singles chart with a new raunchy image and Sweet Dreams My LA Ex.

Another Elvis Presley remix, Rubberneckin', is at five with Rubberneckin' while Delta Goodrem's Innocent eyes went in at nine.
