Prince William could be heading for the top of the pop charts if Simon Cowell gets his way.
The Pop Idol and American Idol judge, famous for being brutally honest with hopeless pop wannabes, told a celeb magazine Wills would be a cool pop star.
Cowell said: "Prince William would make a great pop idol. He's got the looks and class of a true star".
He added he didn't know if William could sing, but admitted that hasn't been a bit problem with stars before!

And if he did fancy trying out at the auditions, William wouldn't even have queue because Cowell says he'd let him audition in private.
Simon, who helped Will and Gareth to stardom, has already got an idea of what sort of music his new star would sing: "I'd love to see him sing a ballad reflecting on the troubles in his life."
