Jemini's dressing room attacked at Eurovision
Updated 25 May 2003, 14.14
Jemini arrive back in Britain
As if getting the worst result in history for the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest wasn't bad enough, Jemini have had their dressing room wrecked.

The duo from Liverpool were being interviewed after coming last with no points while their door was kicked in by vandals.

Their manager Martin O'Shea - who also looks after Atomic Kitten - said Gemma, 20, and Chris, 21, were "distraught".

The Kittens had been watching at home and they too were very upset for the pair.

He defended claims Jemini was out of tune, saying Gemma couldn't hear the sound properly for the first 30 seconds, so couldn't get the right note.

But the man who wrote Jemini's song says they lost so badly because the other countries felt anti-British after the war in Iraq.

Russia, France and Germany didn't agree with the war and didn't like the fact Britain helped the US in the fighting.

But Girls Aloud manager and Popstars judge Louis Walsh said that had nothing to do with it.

He reckons Jemini were "terrible" and added: "The thing was just a disgrace, the worst song I have ever heard, and so out of tune they deserved to be last."

Turkey won the contest, followed by Belgium and Russia.
