But a spokesman for the group's record company Polydor, said: "She is not racist in any way and was very upset by the suggestion that she is."
And they said Cheryl was only defending herself during the fight.
Surrey Police released Cheryl without charge after 10 hours.
Polydor are thinking about taking legal action because they say the racism claims are false.
Cheryl had been out with the rest of the band when the fight happened.
