Girls Aloud are number one for a fourth week
Updated 12 January 2003, 19.12

Girls Aloud managed to fight off the challenge of Electric Six to stay at the top of the charts for a fourth week.

It was a really close thing in the end, but the Popstars: The Rivals girlband just managed to hold on to beat the weird disco-metallers from America.

The mega-weird video that accompanies the track Danger! High Voltage! wasn't enough for them to pip Girls Aloud.

The Girls' toughest challengers are likely to come next Sunday, when loads of big singles are released.

Fame Academy winner David Sneddon with Stop Living The Lie will be hoping to sell more records than two Pop Idol losers, Rosie Ribbons and Zoe Birkett.

And Busted, Feeder and Panjabi MC are also all expected to enter the charts in a high position.
