The teenage heart-throb has fallen for Mandy Davis from pop band Frenzy, who supported Gareth on the Pop Idol tour, The Sunday People newspaper claimed.

Mandy, 20, is also Geri Halliwell's niece, the paper said.

Mandy apparently told a magazine that she had a "soft spot" for Gareth, but that she wants to take their relationship one step at a time.

Gareth's already been linked with his Pop Idol pals Hayley Evetts and Zoe Birkett. There were also rumours that he'd had a relationship with model Jordan, but he insisted that wasn't true.
