Kylie also had a good night, winning best pop artist and best dance artist too.

She was very pleased and told the 12,000 strong crowd in the Saint Jordi palace Barcelona: "A few years ago, it seemed that 'pop' was a dirty word. No longer."

Jennifer Lopez stopped Kylie from grabbing three prizes, when J-Lo scooped the best female award.

Robbie tries to find out who likes his new single

Linkin Park were the surprise winners of the first award, beating U2, Coldplay and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to the prize for best group.

The US nu-metallers also took the best hard rock award.

And twenty-one-year-old Alicia Keys won the best R&B prize.

Eminem, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi and Coldplay all performed live for what P Diddy called "the biggest party in the world."
