Pop Idol runner-up Gareth signed a massive six-figure deal with the drinks company in March. He's done loads of photo shoots with them since - but not for much longer.

'Will and Gareth are different'

A Pepsi spokesperson said: "Gareth was always on a one-year contract ending in March 2003. We are delighted with his success. We wish him all the best for the future."

He added that lots of celebs who've had Pepsi ad deals in the past have only had one year contracts, like Robbie Williams, Five and Boyzone.

But there's loads of gossip at the moment about how long these manufactured pop stars can last, especially after Hear'Say split up, less than two years after they won Popstars.

But a Gareth and Will spokesman said this wasn't an issue. "Will and Gareth are different as they are solo artists," she said.
