"I'm really nervous, but really excited at the same time... it's come really quick," Rosie told Newsround Lite.

No regrets

The singer who made Pete Waterman weep has also changed her image, but she says it's just that she's growing up.

"I think I've just become more obsessed with what I'm wearing!" she said.

Although Rosie didn't win Pop Idol, she says she doesn't regret going on the show.

"No regrets! I couldn't regret anything at the end of the day - it got me where I am, it's got my foot through the door.

"If it wasn't for that I'm sure I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now," said Rosie.

Sunday roast

And what does she think of the other Pop Idol finalists?

"I live with Hayley which is quite nice. And Jess is just up the road as well. She always cooks us Sunday dinners and stuff! We all get together every now and then which is really lovely," said Rosie.

And she's pleased to see all the pop idols doing well: "This is what we all wanted, that's what we were there for. It's really nice that we've all taken it further."
