Jo exclusively told Newsround that although she was taking a break, it won't be the end of S Club heaven.

"There's still so much to do with the band. We've got loads of stuff this year - we're got a movie, the series, an album, a tour. There's still a lot of life left in S Club," she said.

Leaving the band?

But the star did confirm she would like to go solo one day: "I'm sure after S Club I'll go on my own," she said.

Fans of the band were worried Jo's solo release could mean she may leave the band, like former band member Paul Cattermole.

Stonger than ever

But Jo reassured Newsround that although Paul's left S Club are now stronger than ever:

"Paul's happy now, and we're all happy and getting on better than ever. We get closer everyday and our stuff gets better everyday. We're pretty strong," said Jo.

Jo did admit it was different working without the other five.

"It's kind of weird not having the rest of the band around but in a way it's kind of nice to not have Bradley rapping in my ear all day!" she said.

Jo's solo single, Different kind of people, is out in September. S Club's new release will be on sale in October.
