Updated 16 April 2002, 08.56
Jessica Garlick with presenter Claire Sweeney and Martin Baylay, who wrote her song
Jessica Garlick, who was knocked out of Pop Idol, has helped the UK to become joint favourite to win this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

Last year's winner and host country Estonia is the other hot fave to win the competition on 25 May.

The contest features entries from all over Europe - some of which are very cheesy!

Welsh lass Jessica, 20, won the Song for Europe TV phone vote on 3 March to represent the UK with Come Back.

And it's hoped Jess will silence the competition with it. The team producing the song are also behind Atomic Kitten.

The last two years have been a nightmare for the UK. Last year, we came in a terrible 15th - not a lot of improvement on the previous year's result of 16th!
