The Colombian singer, who's in the top 10 with her hit Whenever Wherever, says people just assume they don't like each other.
"People say Britney and I are alike because we're both blonde, petite and we started in this business very young," Shakira told the Sunday Mirror.
'Sounded like a goat'
Shakira admitted she wasn't always the blonde bombshell she is now. She said she was a "fat teenager" who had jet black hair and dressed like a Goth.
She was also turned down for the school choir because the music teacher said she sounded "like a goat".
