Hear'Say to audition for 'new Kym'
Updated 25 January 2002, 13.30

Hear'Say will be holding auditions next week to find a new member, now that Kym has left.

Suzanne, Myleene, Danny and Noel said that although they feel "more united, ambitious and stronger" as a four, they wanted to give someone else a chance in the band.

In a statement on Hear'Say's official website, they said: "We decided that to give Hear'Say the best opportunity and because we owe it to our fans that we should recruit a new member to give the band a new fresh look and line up."

'Kym's situation has changed'

The remaining four admitted they were shocked when Kym told them she was leaving the band, but they weren't totally surprised.

They added: "The reasons are not as reported but because obviously her personal situations and responsibilities have changed and her commitment to her children."

We've been chatting to S Club 7 this week. Bradley told CBBC Newsround Online in an exclusive interview that he thought it's sensible of the band to decide to carry on. He told us: "You've got four other guys who are still really keen to be in the industry probably and they really want to continue with their music and I don't see why not."

Kym's face was cut out of some of the pictures on their website on Friday morning, but by the evening there had been a change of mind and she was back in.
