  Britney & Becks record duet
Updated 20 January 2002, 13.49
Britney & Becks
The king of football and the queen of pop are to record a song together!

Britney Spears and David Beckham will record the track for a Pepsi advert, according to the Sunday Express newspaper.

Britney, who's currently promoting her third album, will perform the song with the England captain and four other World Cup stars in the next few days.

The campaign will reportedly be launched in a few weeks' time.

Becks's pop career

It'll be Becks's first pop effort, and who knows, he might even be more successful than his wife, Victoria - Posh Spice.

Her latest album's been less than a huge success.

The newspaper says when Britney was asked how she felt about recording with Becks, she said:

"I'm hoping he'll help me with the soccer moves for the commercial."

And the star did say she thought he was "cute."
