Blue pick up first music award
Updated 29 October 2001, 16.05

Blue are celebrating winning their first ever music award.

The boys picked up the gong for Best Newcomer at the TMF awards in Ghent, Belgium.

As they collected the award Duncan thanked the band's Belgian fans:

"This is our first award we've ever won and we won it here in Belgium."

Performing with the stars

Blue joined the likes of Mis-Teeq, Victoria Beckham and Atomic Kitten on stage at the awards ceremony.

They may be storming the charts now, but a year ago Blue were unheard of.

Their first single 'All Rise' was released in May and in August their second single 'Too Close' hit the number two spot.
