Stars put on a show in Cardiff
Updated 21 October 2001, 13.59
Steps were of the acts performing
Britain's top pop acts put on a show at Cardiff's Millennium stadium for charity.

Steps, Atomic Kitten, A1 and S Club 7 were some of the acts raising money for the Red Hot Aids Charitable Trust and Children in Need.

Unusual performances

But just for one night they weren't singing the songs that have made them chart stars.

Instead they performed songs from famous stage shows and musicals like Cats, Les Miserables and Funny Girl.

Charlotte Church was in front of her home crowd
Charlotte Church was another of the big names to appear, and the 15-year-old performed two songs in front of her home crowd.

The show was supported by an orchestra, choir and dancers and was hosted by pop clown H from Steps.
