  So Solid Crew star fined for punching fan

A member of So Solid Crew who broke a fan's jaw when he punched her has escaped a jail sentence.

Instead, Darren Weir was fined 5,500 for hitting the 15-year-old girl after she slapped him around the face.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, received 3,500 of that amount as compensation.

Guilty

Weir and the girl met outside a nightclub in Cardiff where So Solid Crew were supposed to be playing a gig.

Weir, 22, from Pimlico, London, who goes by the name of Skat D, pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm on December 27 last year.

So Solid Crew recently had a number one hit single with 21 Seconds.
