  Game: Donkey Konga
Updated 16 February 2005, 15.20
Donkey Konga review
Genre: Music

Format: GameCube

The Plot: The friendly apes Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have returned!

But this time you won't be swinging through the jungle but bashing out beats.

The aim of the game is simple - to drum and clap to the rhythms that scroll across the screen.

Playability: The thing that makes this game different is the controller it comes with... bongo drums!

The more accurate your strikes, the more you score, so you have to be quick!

Fun: The fun thing about this game is that everyone can join in.

And there are over 30 songs to play, ranging from classical to pop.

You'll have a big laugh mixing up your lefts, rights and claps!

Graphics: The graphics are a bit plain and Donkey and Diddy don't move much.

Difficulty: You can choose to play tunes with different levels of difficulty - from easy to really hard.

Hit or Miss: Hit! This is a really addictive game that you'll want to play again and again.

NR rating:

five out of five

What did YOU think of Donkey Konga?

Donkey Konga is a superb game. It lasts forever. It's graphics may not be that good, but do graphics really matter? If you look close you can find things which a devoted Nintendo gamer will notice. Rating: 9.

I've had it since the day it came out. It's really addictive and great. It's just a shame that you have to buy extra bongos for good multiplayer.

The only down point I think was the graphics. The characters didn't move much at all! It is a good game but other games can probably beat it!
