The plot: There are two really, as the book is a bit of a mixture. It's got two short stories in it and interviews with the characters and lots of extra information in as well, a bit like special features on a DVD. The two stories are both cool. The first one is about how Holly earns her place in the LEPrecon unit and the second sees Artemis team up with famous dwarf Mulch Diggums.
The characters: All the old favourites; Holly, Artemis Fowl, Butler, Commander Julius Root, Foaly, Mulch Diggums and Julius' nasty brother Turnball.
Highlights: The stories are both really good, especially the one about how Holly wins her place in the LEPrecon with some of her trademark quick-thinking.
Any weak bits? It's probably a good idea to have read the other Artemis Fowl books first, or some of the Artemis Fowl files won't make much sense. Some of the extra information is a bit too much, probably only for really big Artemis Fowl fans rather than the casual ones or people new to the characters.
Unputdownable? The stories are short enough that they can be read in one session, so you might need to put it down. As always with Artemis Fowl stories it's action-packed and full of twists and turns.
