Book: A Coyote's In The House
Updated 27 October 2004, 19.24

Author: Elmore Leonard

Publication date: 5 August 2004

Pages: 148

The plot: A cool, curious and wild coyote finds himself in the house of a retired film star dog in Hollywood.

They're from different worlds but both have a lot to learn from each other.

It's a rollercoaster ride of adventure, kidnap, glamour and fast talking.

The characters: Ice cool Antwan the Coyote, Buddy the film star German Shepherd and Miss Betty the pampered poodle.

Highlights: It'd give the plot away... but the best bits are the witty and cool banter between the characters.

Any weak bits? When the mum figures out the dogs can understand what humans are saying. It doesn't add to the book and feels a bit stupid.

Unputdownable? This book has it all, supercool characters, Hollywood glamour and an action-packed plot. It'll have you gripped to the end!

Have YOU read this book?

I read this a few days ago. I didn't think it was suitable for my age range as it was a bit babyish. But for my younger brother it was perfect read. I didn't like it, but my brother did!
