Croatians and Bosnians fought back against the Serbs in 1995 and took back a lot of their land.

They were so successful that Milosevic was forced to sign the Dayton Peace Agreement saying he would end the war in Bosnia.

To try to improve his reputation abroad, he said he didn't want an all-powerful Serbia anymore, and some of the sanctions against Yugoslavia were lifted.
