Wombles:
This is an anarchist group with its origins in Italy.

There is no leadership and tactics are agreed at meetings.

They call themselves the Wombles as it stands for - White Overall Movement Building Liberation through Effective Struggle.

Critical Mass:
Is a cycle group which wants to see better public transport and less people depending on the car.

They cycle around the city of London on the last Friday of every month and organise protest rides in other cities.

On May Day they cycle to Trafalgar Square for a mass rally.

Trades Union Congress:
This is the parent group of many unions in the UK, which look after the rights of people in the workplace.

It wants a peaceful celebration on May Day to mark the traditional workers' holiday.

London Animal Action:
Is an animal liberation group that campaigns against the fur trade, experiments on animals and bloodsports.
