Wills with TV's Patrick Kielty Princely duties

On his 21st birthday, William became a Counsellor of State. This means that the Queen can ask him to take over some of her duties if she is abroad or ill for more than a few days.

William has accompanied his father on several official visits. He also learned a lot from visiting homeless people with his mother, Princess Diana.

In July 2004, he took part in Sport Relief. He completed the mile-long charity race along the Embankment in six minutes and 10 seconds and was cheered on by his brother Harry.
