  Millennium Dome
What was in it?
Why has there been such a fuss about it?
What's next for the Dome?

The Millennium Dome in Greenwich What is the Millennium Dome?
The Millennium Dome is a huge white tent-like structure in Greenwich, London. It was built to mark the end of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st.

The idea was first put forward in 1994 by the then Prime Minister John Major and it finally opened its doors to the public on 1 January 2000.

It cost more than 700m and was designed as a futuristic day out for the whole family.
