  Meningitis
What is it?
What causes it?
How do I know if I've got it?
What's being done about it?

What causes it?
Meningitis is caused either by a virus or a bacteria.

It's spread by coughing, sneezing and kissing but doesn't like the cold so places like swimming pools are safe.

The number of cases has also been rising slowly for the last few years - part of the cause for concern.
